Key Characteristics of Tactical Fabric

Tactical fabric is designed to optimize performance and functionality in challenging applications and environments. Specialized materials and finishing treatments ensure these fabrics are:

  • Strong and durable. Its high tensile strength and resistance to stretching, tearing, and abrasion enable tactical fabric to provide lasting quality.
  • Weather resistant. Tactile fabric also offers reliable resistance against UV light, wind, water, and adverse conditions.
  • Comfortable and breathable. To deliver maximum comfort along with good ventilation in clothing applications, this fabric type is breathable and moisture wicking.
  • Versatile. From softer textiles for apparel to tougher materials for rugged protective gear, tactical fabric meets the needs of myriad applications.

Common Applications

Ranging from Mil-Spec gear for the military to consumer goods, common end-uses for our tactical fabric include:

  • Tactical clothing and gear. This fabric works well as tactical vests, uniforms, gear bags, field packs, body armor carriers, parachute systems, and other protective equipment or commercial nylon tactical gear for military and law enforcement professionals.
  • Outdoor and recreational products. Common outdoor or recreational gear made from tactical fabric includes backpacks, pouches, tents, rainflies, and other products for hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking. It’s also suitable for outdoor clothing.
  • Industrial and manufacturing goods. Products for industrial and manufacturing environments, such as protective gear, aprons, workwear, and heavy-duty machinery covers, all benefit from the ruggedness of tactical fabric.
  • Covers. Additionally, this fabric type offers optimal protection from wear and the elements in furniture, seat, and car covers.
  • Bags and luggage. From lightweight bags, cases, and duffel bags to soft-sided suitcases, tactical fabric has the durability necessary for luggage applications.
  • Pet and animal care products. Tactical fabric is suitable for everything from dog beds to horse blankets.

Fabric Finishing Services

Our team can apply finishing treatments to our tactical fabric to enhance its performance and meet various industry or application requirements.

Our Capabilities

We offer the following finishing services for our tactical fabric:

  • Resin finishing. For such applications as military boot components, resin finishes improve sturdiness, abrasion resistance, and overall durability.
  • Water repellency treatments. These treatments enhance nylon’s water-repellent abilities, adding protection against moisture absorption.
  • Wickable treatments. Improving the comfort and quality of products like sports- and activewear, tactical fabric effectively absorbs and draws away unwanted moisture.
  • Dip and face finishing. Satisfy aesthetic and performance requirements with our dip and face finishing, selecting from various colors, patterns, textures, and durability levels for your fabric.
  • Fire retardancy treatments. Specialized water- and solvent-based treatments enable tactical fabric to better withstand fire and heat exposure and comply with safety standards.
  • Anti-static treatments. With added protection against static electricity, our tactical fabric is designed for textiles used or worn around vulnerable electronics.
  • Antimicrobial treatments. Providing enhanced resistance to bacterial and fungal growth, these treatments enhance safety and hygiene in end-use products while reducing odors.

Benefits of Our Finishing Services

Our finishing services optimize tactical fabric for improved:

  • Durability and performance. With enhanced durability comes improved performance. Finishing helps our fabric retain its quality when faced with abrasion, water, and environments that could otherwise cause tearing or degradation.
  • Longevity. After our finishing treatments, tactical fabric offers long-lasting functionality for continued use in even the most rugged applications.
  • Aesthetic appeal. Our selection of colors, patterns, and textures allows customers to dictate their fabric’s appearance and better achieve their product vision. Also, our tactical fabric resists stains, protecting its appearance over time.
  • Quality and value. With improved durability, performance, lifespan, and appearance, you can charge higher rates for products made with finished tactical fabric.
